Maker Faire Miami started because a handful of people in South Florida wanted a place where building things was the whole point. Not networking. Not pitching. Building.

The maker community in Miami has always been broader than any single discipline. Electronics hobbyists, 3D printing enthusiasts, woodworkers, textile artists, robotics teams, interactive installation builders. The common thread is the work itself and the willingness to share it.
